When you make an agreement with us, contact us or use our services some personal data are collected. Here follows a description on how and why it is made.

1. WHAT PERSONAL DATA ARE TREATED?

We gather personal data you submit yourself as well as data automatically collected.

Personal data you submit yourself are data submitted while becoming a customer, online user or in contact with us. Examples are email, name and address.

The automatically collected data are IP-number anonymously collected for our marketing tools Facebook and Google and to ensure the best experience for visitors on our website.

2. WHAT ARE PERSONAL DATA USED FOR?

To fulfill agreements with customers.
To fulfill legal obligations.

According to current regulations personal data may only be gathered for “a special purpose and with legitimate goals”. Personal data need to be treated accordingly.

To legitimately treat personal data we need legal reasons for our treatment. We only use one of these causes to treat personal data.

We use different kinds of personal data to create offers in the best possible way for the person. We can communicate with you via our website, google, facebook and other websites. We also gather anonymized personal information for statistical purpose.

We treat personal data to fulfill our legal obligations in Sweden where our business is located.

Examples on partners we share personal data with are consultants for marketing and production partners. We are only sharing data necessary to fulfill our commitments.

POLICIES FOR ONLINE VISITORS UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE
Simpson Europe does not provide any personal identifiable information to any third party (other than to Simpson Race Products Inc. and to our agents) from our online visitors identified as being under 13 years of age. E-mail addresses of children under 13 are only used to deliver requested information.
When an online visitor under 13 years of age registers or provides any personal identifiable information, he/she is required to provide the e-mail address (or on some Sites, the postal address) of his/her parent or guardian. We give the parent or guardian notice via e-mail (or postal mail) when their child under 13 years of age registers or provides personal identifiable information. The notification provides the parent or guardian with instructions on how to review and delete information collected from his/her child.
Although online visitors under 13 years of age may be allowed to participate in some contests or promotions, if such a visitor wins, notification and prizes will be sent to the parent or guardian identified when the child entered the contest or promotion.

What are cookies?
On our website we use cookies. A cookie is a small textfile stored on your own computer device visiting our website. Cookies are used for some functions to work proberply, enhance the experience for the visitor on the website or provide statistics. We do not gather personal information connected to you as a person. Information about the visitor can not be tracked via cookies. A cookie can not start a program.

Our website uses three different kinds of cookies. The first one stores permanent files on the visiting computer assisting the website in functioning better at speed for example or remembering choices made or gathering the updated versions of the website.

8. TERMS & CONDITIONS

VAT and TAX
Your local VAT (OSS) will be added to all prices when products are shipped to private consumers within the EU.
Private consumers outside EU pays VAT and TAX locally.
Registered Businesses with VAT and TAX numbers inside and outside EU pays VAT and TAX locally.

Shipping time
Products in stock are usually shipped the day after the order is placed. If the order includes several products it is possible for the consumer to ask for a partial delivery, the extra cost will be charged the customer though.
Transport-time from warehouse to consumer depends on chosen shipping method. Within EU is normal shipping time 2-6 days.

MTO (Made To Order)
Some of our products are only produced on request.
It is products like custom tailored racing suits, custom harnesses, racing helmets etc.
The production time for MTO-products is about 3-4 weeks.
Shipping from factory to consumer is not included in production time.
All MTO-products are on pre-paid terms.
Returns and refunds for "MTO" and Custom made products will not be accepted .

Shipping costs
Shipping costs are only estimates and preliminary.
If the cost for shipping have changed or we have calculated wrong we reserve our rights to change the shipping cost without give notice to the customer.

We provide a number of payment options.

Product services & returns
If for any reason you would like to return a product you purchased or have a product you need serviced or inspected ship it with UPS, FedEx or DHL trackable and insured shipping to Simpson Europe within 30 days.
Additional costs as import duties etc must be fully paid by customers outside EU.
Please return new products in original condition in the same boxes with a copy of the invoice to:

9. THE SIMPSON QUALITY GUARANTEE

Simpson warrants all products to be free from defects in material and workmanship when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Warranty does not include damage to the product as a result of misuse, abuse of the product, or normal wear and tear. Simpson will provide a replacement part or product at its sole discretion. Purchaser must assume responsibility for the cost of shipping the product to Simpson for service or inspection.
